How to Claim Your Discount

When booking your tickets online, select the appropriate ticket type (e.g., "Reduced," "Family"). You must bring valid proof of eligibility with you on the day of your visit. Ticket inspectors at the entrance may ask to see your ID.

Required Documents:

    • Students: A valid student ID card with a photo and expiry date.
    • Children/Youth: An ID document showing date of birth may be requested.
    • Visitors with Disabilities: A valid disability card or equivalent official document.

Failure to provide valid proof may result in being required to pay the full ticket price at the entrance.

Free & Reduced Tickets FAQ

Common questions about discounts

Are there any free admission days for everyone?
Unlike some museums in Poland, the Wieliczka Salt Mine does not have regularly scheduled free admission days for the general public.
Do I need to book a ticket for my 3-year-old child?
While children under 4 are free, you should still include them in your booking by selecting the free child ticket to ensure they are counted in the tour group numbers.
Does an international student card (ISIC) work for the student discount?
Yes, a valid ISIC card is generally accepted as proof for the student discount, as long as you are under 26 years of age.
Is there a discount for carers of disabled visitors?
Policies for carers can vary. It is best to check directly with the mine's booking office when arranging tickets for a visitor with disabilities. See our accessibility page for contact info.
